なぜ、描き続けるのか。
なぜ「存在と時間」を描き続けるのか。
私は長く、自分という存在がなぜここに在るのか、なぜ今という時間を生きているのかを問い続けてきました。
絵を描くことは、私にとって単なる表現手段ではなく、「存在」と「時間」を可視化する試みであり、私自身の人生を記録する行為でもあります。
現代社会の喧騒の中で、私たちは“自分自身の存在”と“今この瞬間”を見失いがちです。
しかし、静かに立ち止まって目を閉じれば、そこには確かに自分だけの時間が流れ、誰にも代われない存在が息づいている──
私はその確かさを絵画として残したいと考えています。
油絵具という素材の重さ、乾くまでの時間、幾層にも重ねられる不確かさ。
そのすべてが「存在」と「時間」を描くためにふさわしく、私はこの手段を選び続けています。
私の作品に立ち現れるのは、私自身の記憶や経験だけでなく、誰しもの中にある“存在への問い”です。
絵を通して鑑賞者自身の「存在と時間」に触れてもらえたなら、それが私にとって最大の喜びです。
Why do I continue to paint “Being and Time”?
I have spent much of my life quietly asking myself why I am here, and why I live this moment in time.
For me, painting is not merely a tool of expression—it is a way to trace the shape of being, to give form to time, and to leave behind a record of my existence.
In today’s fast-moving world, we are often disconnected from both who we are and where we are in time.
But if we stop and close our eyes, there is always something still and certain within us: a presence, a now, a self.
That stillness is what I strive to paint.
The slow, physical process of oil painting—with its weight, its waiting, and its unpredictable textures—is essential to this journey.
Each layer is like a page in the book of existence.
My work is rooted in my personal history, yet I believe it resonates with something universal: the human longing to understand oneself.
If my paintings offer others a moment to reflect on their own being and time, then I feel the act of painting has meaning.
